ACE-031

ACE-031 is a fusion protein made by combining the extracellular ligand-binding part of the ActRIIB receptor with a human IgG1 Fc region. Under normal conditions, these growth factors attach to ActRIIB and activate signals that inhibit muscle protein synthesis and limit growth. ACE-031 circulates in the bloodstream and captures these ligands before they can reach their natural receptors on muscle cells.
