TB Frag
About TB Frag
TB Frag is a synthetic research peptide based on the conserved actin-binding sequence of the naturally occurring 43-amino-acid peptide Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4). This sequence corresponds to residues 17–23 of the parent peptide and represents a region involved in binding globular (G-) actin, an interaction that contributes to regulation of actin dynamics within cells.
Unlike full-length Tβ4, TB Frag has not been extensively evaluated in preclinical or clinical studies, and its biological properties remain comparatively less characterized in the scientific literature. Consequently, most published findings relating to tissue repair, angiogenesis, inflammatory signalling, and wound healing should be attributed to the complete Tβ4 peptide rather than its isolated fragment.
