Cartalax (Ala–Glu–Asp, AED) is a synthetic tripeptide that has been studied in limited preclinical research, primarily in cell culture and animal models associated with peptide bioregulator research programs. Preclinical experiments report that AED may influence cellular activity in models involving connective tissue, including chondrocyte and fibroblast systems, with observed changes in general markers related to cell proliferation, stress response, and extracellular matrix regulation under laboratory conditions.
Additional experimental work has investigated AED in kidney, stem cell, and cartilage-related models, where researchers have reported changes in cellular activity and gene expression markers under controlled conditions.
