IGF-1 LR3

IGF-1 LR3 differs from naturally occurring IGF-1 through a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension and an arginine substitution at the third amino acid position. These structural modifications are associated with reduced binding affinity to insulin-like growth factor binding proteins, also known as IGFBPs, compared with native IGF-1.

Experimental studies have explored IGF-1 LR3 interactions with the IGF-1 receptor and downstream signalling pathways involved in cellular growth, differentiation, survival signalling, and metabolic regulation. Ongoing research examines its role in cellular regulation, signal transduction pathways, and experimental models across molecular biology, physiology, and regenerative research.
